Practice Management

Our management team consists of our Practice Manager who oversees and develops the work of our practice. She ensures that the practice runs efficiently for patients, and that the GP's/staff have the support they need. Our Practice Manager makes key business decisions and monitors day-to-day practice operations, creating opportunities for the practice to better meet the needs of our patients. We have three Office Managers that ensure that the day to day running of the practice runs efficiently and effectively and they provide support to the practice manager, deputising in her absence. We find that by having a management team of three office managers is much more effective in the running of our practice, each manager specialises in different areas and goes above and beyond to offer support for staff and patients.

Administration

We then have an administration team made up of our Data Manager and three administrators. The admin team delegate all results and clinic letters to the appropriate clinicians. They ensure that all the medical records are in order and register patients and complete deductions. They have a wide range of recall systems and ensure that the practice recalls patients for their chronic illness health checks annually. All solicitor and insurance claims are also processed by our admin team.


Our Medicines Manager receives and processes all prescription requests for the practice. When a prescription request is received it is electronically sent to the GP to review, it then either issued or returned with an instruction or rejected. Any new medications received from the hospital also get added by the medicines manager. The new medication will be added, any medication in to continue or stopped will be amended and the records are then checked by a GP to ensure correct. Our Medicines Manager offers an important role in maintaining the practices efficiency in processing prescriptions.

Reception

Our reception team are the first point of contact to the practice and are all fully qualified care-navigators. This enables them to Signpost patients to the most appropriate healthcare professional, this ensures that patients are booked with the right person first time. Directing patients to the most appropriate care is extremely beneficial to the running of our appointment system and ensures that every appointment offered is utilised. They perform many important tasks that keep the office running smoothly such as: Completing tasks from GP's/Nurses, processing all referrals, GP and patient queries, giving out test results and performing audits. Our reception team are a vital part in the running of our practice and are valued members of our team.
